Join us for Lobby Day!

With the start of Iowa's legislative session, we have our work cut out for us. To have the impact we need, we aim to have over 100 pro-equality Iowans at the Capitol on February 7. We will be meeting in the One Iowa office (419 SW 8th Street, Des Moines) for a thorough Lobby Day training and lunch.

Anti-equality forces and opposition groups continue their efforts to overturn the Iowa Supreme Court ruling extending the freedom to marry to gay and lesbian couples. The Family Leader is already planning its annual marriage rally opposing equality for loving, committed gay and lesbian couples. We must come together and show our legislators that we stand for the freedom to marry.

We'll begin the day at 11 a.m. with a training and a lunch ($10 suggested donation) at the One Iowa office. After lunch, we will head to the Capitol and talk to our legislators about the importance of freedom for all Iowans.
